These are prioritisation approaches we can try using in Company Name [in order from simple to more complex]. Those can be adjusted for a specific Company Name use case.

  1. Value/effort ratio
    1. Plain & simple, but lacks nuances, that need to be accounted for by other processes Company Name may not have at the moment.
  2. WSJF [Weighted Shortest Job First]
    1. Straightforward, easy, however, not primitive way to prioritise, not only tasks, but initiatives as well. Doesn’t take into account any type of effort besides development though.
  3. RICE [Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort]
    1. Regardless of its popularity I’m not sure it’s a fit for Company Name since we usually don’t have a difference in reach for the features I kicked off, so at least this factor seems unnecessary for Company Name.
  4. Flexible Priority Scoring by Svetlana Ayupova
    1. The most comprehensive framework of all, however, I’m not sure we can calc the revenue part just yet + all the factors need to be reviewed & redesigned if needed to fit Company Name specific situation, if this framework is chosen.
  5. Other frameworks can be found here
